If you are someone who even remotely cares about reading their own news and searching out the facts for yourself, you may have heard about another “bowing debacle” that involved President Obama. Now if you only listen to the 6pm news or just get your daily updates from the main stream media, you probably don’t have a clue what I’m talking about because they don’t want to cover stories about President Obama committing blunder after blunder when it comes to foreign relations. Why do I use the word blunder? The left would have you know that bowing is a sign of respect. But this proves that the left doesn’t really understand culture, because the bowing of foreign leaders (within the Japanese culture) displays a subservience, a surrender to the one who does not bow the lowest by the one who bows lower. Ok, fine, you still don’t believe me, check out this video. It’s a compilation of 46 world leaders and their respectful greetings with the Japanese Emperor and they are all compared to President Obama’s dreadfully low bow of submission.
Emperor Akihito is seen shaking hands with other foreign (and domestic) leaders, juxtaposed to Obama shaking hands with Emperor Akihito. Does anyone notice the difference? (Hint: Look at the angle created between Obama’s Legs and torso)
The truly funny part of this is the Japanese press were laughing at how ridiculous Obama was when he bowed and shook the hand at the same time. Even the press over in asia were surprised that Obama bowed and how awkward and foolish he looked while doing it.
